How to Run a TikTok Live Sale Without Double-Selling Your Last Unit
Stop promising the same last unit to two buyers. A live-sale inventory checklist using catalog stock, auction pricing, and an order inbox.

The last unit is where live selling reputation dies. Two buyers heard “sold,” one transfer arrives late, and you either refund under pressure or ship air.
Rule: stock lives in the catalog, not in the comments
Before the stream, every featured item should exist as a catalog product with quantity you believe. If variants matter (size/color), use them — “one dress” is not “one dress in three sizes.”
Live checklist that prevents double sells
- Show only items with stock ≥ 1.
- For auctions, set starting/reserve prices on the item before you talk.
- When a buyer wins, create/accept an order immediately — that unit is reserved in your ops brain (and stock when your workflow decrements).
- If payment is not confirmed within your pinned time window, cancel and return the unit to “available.”
- Never accept a second “I want it” while a hold is open.

What to say on stream
- “One unit — first confirmed payment.”
- “Hold expires in X minutes.”
- “If you transfer after cancel, we refund / rearrange — we do not double-book.”
